This busy holiday season, you can find me running between my job as a full time personal trainer and Pilates Teacher at the Collins Aerospace Rec Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. Where I also run the only Balanced Body Authorized Pilates training center in Iowa, so I stay busy teaching Pilates education courses, creating resources to support other pilates teachers and then, in my free time try to get some shopping in!

For many years I felt very alone in the Pilates industry. I was craving a community and support of other teachers. As I continued my journey of Pilates ,I had a desire for continued learning and eventually became a Balanced Body Educator in 2010. I had found a NEW passion in teaching and working with other teachers. Which has now led me to Mentoring others teachers.
In 2023 I started my online business BBPilatesCR with services dedicated to providing Pilates instructors top-notch Pilates continuing education, resources and support to help you become the BEST teachers possibly and achieve your Pilates teaching and CAREER potential.
I believe that having a mentor who "gets it" and has been in your shoes as a Pilates teacher is invaluable.

NO WAY!!! These are for anyone that is looking for a Pilates Mat, Reformer or Pilates chair class to take. OR if you are a teacher; learn cueing, sequencing and techniques to bring into your classes!!
I am not very advanced, are theses classes going to be too hard for me?
These classes can be for any level, I give cues and exercises that can be easily modified. YES, there are some challenging exercises, but the beauty of owning and taking at home means you can only do what you are able to! (without any one watching) :)
Are these classical or contemporary Pilates classes?
I have a fitness based contemporary approach to my teaching. I focus on explaining the "what" and the "why" behind the exercises and love being creative, while keeping the Pilates principles at the heart of my teaching.
